Expert Brand Consultants In Melbourne

  1. Founder & Director

Bree is a branding and business expert, with a taste for words and personality.

She studied journalism, thought about being a foreign correspondent, then realised she didn’t like politics. So, she switched to writing about eggs and joined cult publication Broadsheet as their third employee. She quickly rose from editorial assistant to acting editor, then spread her wings and left to co-found W&B, where she is now proudly managing partner.

In 2013, she launched the now-iconic body care brand, frank body. As the business quickly grew, she worked as Co-CMO and Creative Director, then Head of People, before returning to her roots as Head of Brand Expansion, launching frank’s FMCG line Everyday by frank body.

Bree brings experience, intuition, and an appetite for big ideas to everything she touches.

She lives her life by the motto: risk it for the biscuit.

  2. Founder & Director

Co-founder of Willow & Blake and co-founder & CMO of cult skincare brand, frank body, Jess is a trained copywriter and brand strategist, passionate about providing brands and their customers with unique, meaningful and memorable experiences. Jess is an ambassador for the Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation and was previously named in Forbes 30 under 30.

When she’s not cooking up big ideas at work, she’s at home cooking up life-changing spanakopita with her daughters; Daisy and Ellery.

  3. Business Director

Meet the queen of coordination, Madeleine, our Account Director. The reason your emails receive quick replies and your projects stay on track, she’s the friendly (and meticulous) wizard behind the curtain, making everything at W&B run like clockwork.

Her journey from Swisse Wellness to Specsavers has shaped her into the ultimate project juggler. She brings experience across branding, campaign ideation, and execution. You can count on Madeleine for the kind of insights that bind creative with strategy, pushing your project not just to the next stage, but to the next level. She’s a solar-powered wonder. On the weekends you’ll catch her living out a perfume ad; running, swimming, horse riding, hair flipping…

  4. Design Director

Shaun blends design expertise with incisive strategy to create brands and campaigns that tell stories.

He’s a veteran of BrandFuel in the UK, and has worked on brand identity, art direction and experiential design for some of the world’s biggest brands including Nike, Google and Snapchat (heard of them?). Before joining us at W&B, he led strategy at Culture Digital Agency, specialising in trend analysis and brand development. Fusing his ear-to-the-ground insights with meaningful collaboration, astute research and complete command of design, Shaun’s work is holistic and impactful.

Don’t let the cred, tats and dry British humour scare you, though. Shaun has a foster cat in his lap at least 70% of the time.

  5. Head of Brand Voice

Bri is Head of Brand Voice, crafting brands and campaigns out of ink and brains.

She started her creative career in screenwriting, which shaped her obsession with storytelling. Often seen putting literal pen to paper to conceptualise ideas, she’s brought her holistic creative approach to frank body and many other iconic brands. Bakers Delight, Heinz, BMW, Suzuki, Jacob’s Creek, Asahi, DISSH, Lucas Restaurants and Bed Threads have all benefited from Bri’s pen.

Now, she leads the team in copywriting, social and strategy, wielding dangerously sharp thinking to guide instinctive and compelling creative work.

On the weekends, she can be spotted with a bag of Haribo gummies in one hand and a glass of Lambrusco in the other. Ah, the duality.

  6. Designer

Noah is a designer, making brands that look good and mean something. Cutting his teeth at Studio Round where he worked on iconic and mouth watering names like Koko Black, King & Godfree and Baker Bleu, Noah joined W&B as a brand identity specialist.

From customer goods to fashion, Noah pulls disparate elements of high and low, old and new into his work. He’s a one-man design history library, always managing to pull the perfect obscure reference we didn’t know we needed.

Noah first had his mind blown by design when he unfolded a Gorillaz CD poster. He’s  been chasing that high ever since.

  7. Junior Designer

She’s not a pixel pusher, she’s a pixel polisher. Frances is a Junior Designer with an eye for detail and a brain for bold ideas.

Frances got her start at Archie & Fox, flexing her skills and telling all different kinds of stories across print, digital, B2B, B2C, fresh brands, and established players. From earthy supplements brand, Wanderlust, to Chouchou intimates’ vintage-inspired aesthetics, Frances has developed a rich and colourful design palette. And with experience both in agency and in-house, she’s got a handle on how to work both with the rules, and against them.

When she was four years old, Frances tried to drop out of art class, but her teacher called her Mum and begged for her to stay. If she was that good at four, you can only imagine the stuff she’s pumping out now.

  8. Copywriter

From cranberry juice to caviar, Clare’s copywriting portfolio is a strange but delightful smorgasbord spanning FMCG, hospitality, economy and luxury. Her work has included full-scale OOH campaigns for Ocean Spray, print work for The Ritz Carlton and, one time, an edible, wall-sized poem for Marriott Bonvoy. At W&B, she works across strategy and brand voice, taking concrete insights and turning them into juicy creative concepts and chewy words.

She’s known for mercilessly boring the team with linguistic facts—for example, ‘toodooloo’ is an English bastardisation of the French ‘à tout à l’heure’. Bet you’re glad you know that, now.

  9. Social Media Content Creator

Got questions about the algorithm? Indie’s your girl. Our resident social media master, Indie’s job is to stay on top of micro and macro trends, write memes that crack a smile, and make content that online audiences actually care about.

Indie’s expertise isn’t theoretical—she’s built her personal TikTok channel up to 118k followers, collaborating with the likes of Bondi Sands, CASETiFY and Bumble.

She’s currently completing her final year at university, studying a Bachelor of Professional Communication at RMIT. When she’s not hitting the books, she’s finessing to keep her Yo-Chi order under $10.

  10. Account Coordinator

Effortlessly organised, our Account Coordinator Maddie is the angel in your inbox and the guiding light in your Zoom meetings. She comes armed with a commerce degree from UniMelb and 5 years of experience in luxury fashion at Alessandra Cashmere. While there, she began developing her expertise in e-commerce and digital marketing, and flexing her impressive people skills, too. Maddie knows how to get stuff done, and get it done well. She’s the person whose calls you’ll actually want to take.

Don’t get too attached to her, though. She’s ours.

  11. Account & Content Coordinator

Emma is our Google cal goddess, bending all known laws of time to make sure your projects are completed on schedule and beyond expectations. She completed a year’s internship at the Swisse Wellness marketing department, before doing a stint abroad at the University of Surrey. Alongside her Account Coordinator responsibilities, Emma is  currently completing a Bachelor’s of Media and Communications at Swinburne and killing it as a Pilates instructor (how does she do it all?). And she’s known to be an asset on set, too—her iconic, manicured nails have appeared in more than one of our shoots…
