Nine Yards Case Study

Former stable, new local staple.

Melbourne's cafe royalty needed a name and full branding that fit the bill for their latest crowd-drawing cafe. Housed in former stables on the leafy streets of South Melbourne, and inspired by the Australian landscape, it would become the go-to place for beyond brunch staples; delicious, innovative dishes in perfectly paired surroundings.

We stepped out back and drew inspiration from Australia’s native beauty and their rich, earthy interiors. A rustic, sophisticated yet fun palette and visual identity designed to be fauna-d over. The name, a playful nod to the location and the rest of the founders' stable of cafes. We then rolled out the full branding across all the fun touchpoints, including menu, coasters, signage, coffee cups and more, worthy of their exceptional coffee and innovative dishes with an Aussie twist. Comfortable, warm and casual; worth travelling way more than nine yards for.
